Ocean State Rugby continued with its inugural season working together with Island Rugby and traveled up to Salem, Massachusetts to participate in their tournament. The 5/6 flag group played 5 games and came away with the championship. (Providence Rugby did not attend)

Our team ran with 8 players, which means one substitute. Even in a 14-minute game, that can be a hard obstacle to overcome as much of the game is a sprint and very easy to burn out quite fast. Even though the kids have experienced a decent amount of success, they still continue to improve each week. One of the biggest ones is communication and directing each other effectively and appropriately.

The wins certainly help the long ride home go by much more pleasantly!
